Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for a Scholarship, candidates must meet the following minimum eligibility criteria:
- Be a Qatari citizen.
- Be less than 22 years old by the time the academic year starts.
- Possess a High School Certificate or its equivalent, obtained in the current year of the scholarship application or the year before, with an overall mark of at least 80% for students from Qatari Independent schools, Arabic schools, or International schools.
*** Certificates from International schools require authentication by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
- Acquire an official certificate of IELTS with a minimum score of 6.0 (UKVI is a must for UK bound universities) or 78 in the iBT TOEFL (Internet Based TOEFL).
- Provide an Unconditional University Offer to study a degree program in a discipline required by the Energy Sector in Qatar. The current list of disciplines that are in demand for this year can be found on the Field of Study page.
- The offering university shall be listed in the QatarEnergy’s University Priority List indicated below.
Selection Criteria
Eligible candidates who complete an Application Form and present evidence of meeting the above listed Eligibility Criteria will be required to do the following:
- Attend a Personal Interview with the Interview Panel - scheduled by QatarEnergy Scholarship & Vocational Programs Team.
- Upon final selection, all successful candidates, are required to accept the position, department and work location assigned by a hiring committee.
University Priority
Eligible Candidates with University offers from institutions listed in the QatarEnergy University Priority List score higher in the selection process so it’s always recommended for applicants to be aware of this list and to consider enrolling in a University that’s part of this list.
