Ras Laffan

Ras Laffan Port is on track to become the world’s single largest energy export facility, capable of accommodating a wide range of vessels, including the new generation Q-Flex and Q-Max LNG carriers. QatarEnergy is the owner, regulator and operator of Ras Laffan Port, which lies at the northeastern tip of Qatar and in the middle of the Arabian Gulf, just 67 kilometers away from the North Field. Established in 1996, the port covers an area of 56 square kilometers and is designed as an export facility for gas landed from the North Field, including liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquid petroleum gas (LPG), condensates, petroleum products and sulphur.
Ras Laffan Port is a deep-water port and the largest artificial harbor in the world, and contains the world's largest LNG export facility. It currently includes six LNG berths, six liquid product berths, one sulphur berth and six dry cargo berths. There are 14 support vessel berths and two single point moorings offshore.
It is the perfect hub port to support offshore activities for most of the companies operating offshore.
Ras Laffan Port and the industrial city surrounding it have succeeded in a common goal to transform Qatar into the world’s leading LNG supplier.

Mesaieed

Mesaieed Port is located approximately 40 kilometers south of the capital, Doha. The development of a deep-water port at Mesaieed was a necessity mandated by the shallow waters on the western side of the peninsula, which prevented big tankers from reaching Dukhan, where oil had been previously discovered.
Crude oil from Qatar was first exported from Mesaieed Port in December 1949. Further industrial development followed with the production of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and other petroleum products for export.
Mesaieed Port is now the south corridor for the State of Qatar and for the Mesaieed Industrial City, which encompasses a spectrum of diversified industries ranging from metals and building materials to chemicals, petrochemicals and high-end petroleum products. The industrial city is home to a number of internationally renowned heavy industries like QAFCO, Qatar Steel, QAPCO, Q-Chem, QAFAC, QVC and Qatalum.
Mesaieed Port has 30 multi-product berths and is capable of handling both general and bulk cargo on its commercial berths. In addition, it houses Qatar's largest container terminal.

Halul Island

Operated by QatarEnergy, Halul Island is located around 80 kilometers northeast of the city of Doha and serves as the crude oil export terminal for Qatar marine crude oil produced from the country’s offshore oilfields.
In the early 1960s, the importance of Halul Island further increased with the start of oil production from the offshore oilfields in Qatar’s territorial waters close to the island. Eventually, Halul became a loading terminal for crude production from those fields. Preliminary infrastructure was developed between 1964 and 1966.
The island is hilly, rising to an elevation of 202 feet. Halul harbor is located on the southern side of the island and is used by supply boats that support operations.
Crude oil is exported by tankers through two mooring systems, which allow the loading of two tankers simultaneously. Crude oil is pumped to the tankers through a powerful pumping station with a maximum pumping rate of 75,000 barrels per hour.
